Local Emergency Planning Committee

The Kingfisher County Local Emergency Planning Committee (LEPC) is an organization formed under EPCRA Public Law 94-499. The purpose of the organization is emergency planning and community education.

The Kingfisher County Emergency Response Plan is updated annually. This Plan, Tier II filings and information on any chemical releases reported are available through the LEPC Information Coordinator at PO Box 525, Kingfisher, OK 73750. The LEPC also provides a means for the public and private sectors from throughout the Kingfisher County area to develop, train and test their emergency response plans.

The LEPC invites all businesses to become involved in their organization, particularly those dealing with a hazardous substance. If you would like to become a member, please contact the Kingfisher Officer of Emergency Management at 375-5662.
